The vehicles in the BMW Two Series offer a high level of sportiness thanks to rear-wheel drive, which is unique in the segment, combined with efficient drive systems. More than 140,000 vehicles of the models produced in Leipzig have been delivered to date. The strongest markets are the USA, the UK and Germany. The new models in the two-series are scheduled to be available from July.

Sharpened look
New design elements and LED lights give the BMW 2 Series Coupé and BMW 2 Series Convertible a more distinctive face, including a grown kidney and larger outer air intakes. As standard, both are now equipped with Bi-LED headlights. Optionally, the main headlights are available as adaptive full-LED headlights. The taillights also feature LED technology as standard.

The interior presents a completely redesigned dashboard. The elegant design is underlined by numerous details such as contrasting stitching or surfaces in high-gloss black or chrome elements for the control panels in the doors.

Compact and sporty
With a vehicle length of 4.43 m, the 2 Series Coupé and 2 Series Convertible offer sportiness in a compact space. The four-seaters combine this with high everyday utility. The coupe has a trunk capacity of 390 liters; the convertible's electrically operated soft top is additionally insulated and can be opened up to 50 km/h even while driving. Available assistance systems include Active Cruise Control with Stop&Go function. The Driving Assistant, which is also optional, offers lane departure warning and the city emergency braking function, which automatically triggers braking up to a speed of 60 km/h in the event of an imminent collision with cars, motorcycles or pedestrians.

Wide range of engines
A wide range of three-, four- and six-cylinder engines is available for the coupe and convertible, covering a power spectrum between 100 kW/136 hp and 250 kW/340 hp. The diesel engines offer new turbocharger technology and further developed common-rail direct injection systems. In the BMW 2 Series Coupé, the choice consists of nine drive variants, while in the BMW 2 Series Convertible there are eight. The series is equipped with six-speed manual or 8-speed Steptronic transmission. In addition to the driving-oriented rear-wheel drive, the M240i and 220d in the 2 Series Coupe can also be combined with xDrive. In the 2 Series Convertible, the xDrive drive concept is available for the M240i.
