XC40
The Volvo XC40 has 408 hp and all-wheel drive. A perfect combination for Switzerland.

For the first time, a Volvo also has an Android-based infotainment system. The XC40 Recharge develops 408 hp, has all-wheel drive and is said to be able to drive over 400 kilometers. The battery is said to be 80 percent charged in 40 minutes.

Promotion of electric driving
Anyone visiting the Volvo website from the beginning of 2020 will first be asked whether they want a Volvo Recharge model. To further promote electric driving, Volvo will offer its Recharge plug-in hybrid models with free electricity for the first year; the average electricity cost for charging the battery will be reimbursed at the end of this period.

Plug-in variant for all models
Recharge models are available in every model range - from the Volvo XC40 compact SUV and the models in the Volvo 60 series to the flagship, the large SUV Volvo XC90. This makes Volvo the only automaker to offer a plug-in variant for every model in its range.

XC40
The XC40's dashboards are, as usual for Volvo, easy to use and very clearly arranged.

Production is tripled
The Swedes will triple production capacity for electrified vehicles and prepare a "Designer's Choice" selection of popular Recharge models with significantly shortened delivery times starting next year.
As early as 2020, plug-in hybrids are expected to account for 20 percent of Volvo's total sales. Currently, Volvo offers every model as a plug-in hybrid.

Prices and equipment for Switzerland are not yet known.
