With the Tiguan, VW is delighting customers in all markets. The model is now even more attractive in the new Tiguan R variant. Maximum torque of 420 Nm and peak output of 320 hp enable the car to accelerate to 100 km/h in just 4.9 seconds with Launch Control as standard.
The revised all-wheel drive simultaneously ensures optimum traction and the best agility with a large safety reserve. Power is transmitted via a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission.
Noble exterior mirror caps in matte chrome
From the outside, the new model is recognizable by its R-design bumpers with high-gloss black or body-color aerodynamic elements and 20-inch alloy wheels.
The exterior mirror caps are in matte chrome, while the diffuser and wheel arch extensions are in black.
Inside, the Tiguan R is distinguished from the base models by the sports seats with integrated headrests and the R logo. The individualized digital cockpit with integrated laptimer is also special.
Standard lowering and variable damping
The extended R equipment includes an 18-inch brake system with blue brake calipers, a suspension lowered by ten millimeters with variable damping and the particularly sporty R driving mode.
Large paddle shifters also allow manual gear changes. A titanium exhaust system from Akrapovic (3760 francs) and 21-inch "Estoril" wheels (820 francs) are optionally available. The Tiguan R costs 66,650 francs.
