The sprint from a standstill to 100 km/h takes 4.9 seconds. The top speed of 250 km/h can be increased to 270 km/h with the optional R Performance package.
The additional driving profiles Special (Nürburgring mode) and Drift (Power-slides) provide plenty of driving fun.

Speed indicator and laptimer for the track
Compared to the predecessor, the operation has been comprehensively renewed. Touch surfaces replace the functions of classic controls and analog displays.
The R-specific Digital Cockpit Pro offers features such as a new engine speed display and a laptimer for the track. Operation is optionally supported by an adaptive voice control system. Connectivity is provided by the new MIB3 infotainment system, which is networked online with a wide range of services from the Volkswagen We ecosystem.
The new Golf R Variant can be ordered from July 23 at a base price of 59,950 Swiss francs. The market launch is planned for the fall.
