Interested parties can now reserve an early production slot for the ID.3 1ST Edition online for a fee of CHF 1,500. The specially configured ID.3 1ST special edition has high-quality, high-performance equipment and is limited to 30,000 vehicles for Europe.
Free electricity for the first year
Volkswagen has equipped the ID.3 1ST with the medium-sized battery of the series version, which is expected to be the most popular. With the three battery sizes of the series version, ranges of 330 to 550 kilometers according to WLTP will be possible. The pre-booking special edition has a range of 420 kilometers (WLTP).
Volkswagen is offering pre-booker buyers of an ID.3 1ST the opportunity to charge up to 2000 kWh of electricity free of charge for one year. This amount can be obtained at all public charging stations that are connected to the Volkswagen charging app WeCharge and the Europe-wide fast charging network Ionity, in which Volkswagen is involved.
Energy from renewable sources
The ID.3 will be delivered to customers CO2-neutral. Both the supply chain and the manufacture of the battery cells as well as production are geared towards this goal. For example, electricity from renewable sources is used consistently. Unavoidable emissions in the manufacturing process are offset in certified climate projects. Production of the ID.3 1ST will start as planned at the end of 2019 and the first vehicles will be delivered in mid-2020. The final price has not yet been set.
World premiere at the IAA in September
The first ID vehicle in customer hands and on the road bears the number 3 and is based on the dimensions of the Golf. However, as Sales Director Jürgen Stackmann promised, the feeling of space in particular will be very different from that of the current compact bestseller: "This is very, very impressive". Just how impressive will be demonstrated at the IAA in Frankfurt (September 12 to 22). The 1ST- The final price has not yet been set. Edition will be available in four color and three equipment variants.
Registration without regard to the person
Wolfsburg's goal is to achieve an annual output of 100,000 vehicles at the production site in Zwickau, Germany. This figure does not apply to Germany, but to 29 markets on the European continent. There are no fixed quantities for each market, but registration will take place after the necessary data has been received, regardless of the person or origin.
