Volkswagen: This is the Mini Stromer from Wolfsburg 🎥

NOT BAD With the ID.2all study, Volkswagen goes back to its roots and presents an affordable electric car - with amazing key figures for a car of this size.

First look at the pure Stromer for under 25 000 euros: length 4050, width 1812, height 1530 and wheelbase 2600 millimeters, storage capacity 490 to 1330 liters, front-wheel drive, up to 450 kilometers range, innovative technology features such as Travel Assist, IQ.LIGHT or E-route planner and a new design language of the brand.

The production version will be based on the so-called MEB Entry platform and is one of ten new e-models that VW will launch by 2026. It will be sold as the ID.2 in Europe from 2025. Models from the Å koda and Cupra brands will follow, as will SUVs of the same size.

The ID.2all (later just ID.2) is said to have a range of up to 450 kilometers.

Classic elements instead of touch screens

The MEB Entry Platform, as Volkswagen calls the technical basis of the ID.2, also comes with a new infotainment system: The control of most functions via a Tesla-style screen will no longer exist in the future. The touchscreen will be supplemented by classic controls. Even a normal volume control is planned.

Wishes of many customers were fulfilled

VW CEO Thomas Schäfer: "The touch-sensitive controls of the ID model were criticized by many customers as impractical. We have to listen to our customers more again. And they demanded affordable cars from Volkswagen that are suitable for everyday use - that can be operated intuitively." And that will fortunately be the case in the future.
