Volkswagen: This is the Golf GTI Clubsport 🎥
The Golf GTI Clubsport is Volkswagen's powerful sibling to the standard Golf GTI. Trimmed to a brawny 300 hp, the powerful Wolfsburg car is the new top model of the eighth Golf GTI generation. You can now drive with Golf GTI Clubsport with increased entry speed in curves.
The turbo four-cylinder engine in the new Golf GTI Clubsport is designed to deliver even more agile response and greater efficiency on the track.
Electromechanical front axle cross lock
The chassis has been completely retuned and refined. In the 245-hp GTI, the driving dynamics manager already links the control of the electronic differential locks and the lateral dynamic components of the optional electronic damper control. And that provides noticeable performance benefits.
In the new Golf GTI Clubsport, the standard electromechanical front axle differential lock is now also integrated into the vehicle dynamics manager network for the first time.
At a speed of 250 km/h, the system locks
VW works driver Benjamin Leuchter played a key role in testing and tuning the new Golf GTI Clubsport.
Benjamin Leuchter: "You can now drive into corners with increased entry speed. This is made possible by axle kinematics with an enlarged camber on the front axle, the networking of the front axle cross-lock with the driving dynamics controller, and the once again tightened chassis tuning."
The new Golf GTI Clubsport accelerates to 100 km/h in under six seconds; the top is capped at 250 km/h.
Honeycomb pattern radiator cladding
The Golf GTI Clubsport is immediately recognizable to GTI fans by its individualized front end. It is open towards the bottom of the bumper. Only the radiator grille trim, which is typically built up with a honeycomb pattern for the GTI models, and enlarged aerodynamic wings stood out against the airstream.

Rims inside in high-gloss black
The new Golf GTI Clubsport is fitted as standard with 18-inch "Richmond" alloy wheels (7.5J x 18, offset 51) on 225/40 R18 tires. The five spokes and the outer rim are polished. The inner rim, meanwhile, is finished in high-gloss black.
