eHybrid
For the first time, two plug-in hybrid models of the new Golf are available.

Designed for high comfort, the Golf eHybrid develops 204 hp. The entry price is 45,450 Swiss francs. The 245-hp Golf GTE offers the ultimate in sporty performance. The price of this version starts at 49,050 Swiss francs.

By the end of the year, a total of eight different Golf and Golf Variant models will be available with a hybrid drive.

First kilometers are locally emission-free
Compared with the plug-in hybrid drive of the predecessor, the new Golf plug-in hybrid versions are characterized by a 50 percent greater battery energy content (13 kWh), which enables higher electric ranges.

The Golf eHybrid and the Golf GTE start up electrically when the battery is charged and are therefore locally emission-free.

Total ranges up to 870 kilometers
The Golf eHybrid covers distances of up to 80 kilometers in pure electric mode, while the Golf GTE achieves up to 62 locally emission-free kilometers.

At higher speeds and depending on the hybrid mode selected, the driving profile or the battery charge level, the TSI engine (turbocharged gasoline engine) is automatically activated. The drive is now in economical hybrid mode, in which total ranges of up to 870 kilometers for the e-Hybrid or 745 kilometers for the Golf GTE are achievable.

Electric energy reservation
Gearshifts are always handled by a standard 6-speed dual-clutch transmission (DSG). On longer trips, electric power can be reserved for journeys in the city to travel locally emission-free in the city.

eHybrid
Always on board are the "Digital Cockpit Pro" and the "Discover Media" navigation system.

Equipment offers a lot of comfort ex works
Volkswagen offers the eHybrid in the upscale "Style" equipment version. Like its predecessor, the GTE is once again offered as a stand-alone model with customized equipment.

Always on board in any case are, among other things, the "Digital Cockpit Pro," the "Discover Media" navigation system including streaming and Internet, DAB+, telephone interface with inductive charging function, voice control, sport comfort seats (eHybrid), the "Travel Assist" for assisted driving up to 210 km/h, and a start-stop system with brake energy recovery.
