Completely new development
„According to the supplier, virtually everything about the Velar is "new," from the concept to the design approach to its modern technologies. Here, the Land Rover developers realized principles such as the visual concept of reduction or a meticulous striving for perfection in every detail.
Avantgarde
Its technologies are an ideal match for the body design, such as full-LED headlights - the slimmest Land Rover has ever integrated into a production model. The reductive character of the design is underlined in particular by the retractable door handles, which at the same time reduce the drag coefficient of the Velar body to cw = 0.32: This makes it the most aerodynamically efficient Land Rover model ever.
Variants
The basic vehicle can be combined with the S, SE and HSE equipment variants. Attractive design packages for the exterior and interior as well as a wide range of options make it easy to tailor the vehicle entirely to personal taste, according to the manufacturer. In the first model year, customers can still opt for a particularly lavishly equipped First Edition including a silky-matte paint finish in "Flux Silver."
Off-road
A maximum ground clearance of 251 millimeters and a fording depth of 650 millimeters ensure composure off-road, supported by systems such as Terrain Response 2 automatic or the off-road speed control system All Terrain Progress Control (ATPC). The engine range of the gives customers a choice of a total of six diesel and gasoline alternatives, each coupled with a smooth-shifting ZF eight-speed automatic.
