Inspired by motorsport
The designers were inspired by motorsport details of the Audi 90 quattro IMSA GTO: The front is dominated by massive air intakes with a honeycomb structure typical of RS. The single-frame radiator grille is significantly wider and flatter than on the base model. Next to the headlights are additional side air intakes and outlets, and the optional Matrix LED headlights are differentiated by darkened bezels.
V6 power
The top model in the A5 family sprints from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.9 seconds and reaches a top speed of 250 km/h - with the optional RS dynamics package even 280 km/h (factory figures). The new RS 5 Coupé also benefits from a weight reduction. It weighs in at 1655 kilograms - 60 kilograms less than before. On request, the roof can be made of carbon fiber with a visible fiber structure. With the standard RS sport suspension, the Coupé is 7 millimeters lower than the base model. Alternatively, Audi Sport offers the RS sport suspension plus with Dynamic Ride Control (DRC), a ceramic brake and dynamic steering. The Audi drive select dynamic handling system allows the driver to make his personal driving experience more individual, dynamic or comfortable.
Already ready to go
The new high-performance coupe with V6 power has been in dealerships in Switzerland since this month. The price is 105,800 Swiss francs.
