Tuning: BMW M3 station wagon as a Swiss power package
THERE'S MORE The G81 series, based on the current M3/M4 generation from BMW, was launched in November 2022. Now Dähler is giving the power station wagon a comprehensive optimization package with its Competition Line.
The BMW M3 Touring came to put the fear of God into the AMG C63S Estate and the Audi RS4. And of course the tuner from Belp near Berne with the Competition Line did not waste any unnecessary time in tailoring an optimization package for the Munich express station wagon. As usual, the Swiss specialists focused on technical refinements.
Powered by Dähler up to 630 hp
As standard, the 3-liter inline-six biturbo installed in the M3 Touring Competition already delivers 650 Nm and 510 hp. On request, Dähler can boost this to 720 Nm and 610 hp in stage 1 or 740 Nm and 630 hp in stage 2. The range also includes sports air filters and a carbon intake system. Instead of the original exhaust system, Dähler places a high-performance complete system made of stainless steel with bi-flap control.
Fine tuning for the chassis
The tuner offers several suspension variants. The first is a set of sport springs that lowers the front axle by 28 millimeters and the rear axle by 15 millimeters. The high-performance coilover suspension offers further enhanced driving dynamics and deeper adjustment options. With its height and firmness adjustment in compression and rebound damping as well as high and low speed ranges, it allows an individual setup to be set.
All around 21 inch forged wheels
To upgrade the braking system, sport brake pads and steel braided lines complete the range, and in addition Dähler Competition Line provides the M3 Touring on 21-inch forged wheels all round. To enhance the bodywork, Dähler developed a carbon front spoiler lip that gives the fast station wagon an independent nose design.
