Toyota: Land Cruiser comes as a noble off-roader
EXCLUSIVE The good reputation that the Toyota Land Cruiser has enjoyed as an off-road specialist for more than 70 years forms the basis for the latest model version of this series: the new Matt Black Edition.
Toyota is adding a new, even more exclusive model to its Land Cruiser lineup in the form of the Matt Black Edition. As the name makes clear, this new version comes with matte black exterior accents that emphasize the vehicle's power and practicality.
At the front, the vertical struts and the surround of the grille are in black, as are the upper headlamp surrounds and the fog lamp housings. The side kick strips, roof rails, side mirror housings and 18-inch aluminum wheels also feature a matte black finish.
Fresh look inside and lots of power
The interior presents a refreshed look, with the option of new leather upholstery, with the seat and backrest surfaces in black and the side sections in contrasting gray.
The technical basis is the current all-wheel drive system with the 204-hp 2.8-liter four-cylinder turbodiesel, which delivers a maximum torque of 500 Nm and is combined with a six-speed automatic transmission.
The Matt Black Edition will go on sale in Switzerland in the fourth quarter of this year.
