You can also carve a Land Cruiser V8. This video shows how.
The proven 2.8 liter 4-cylinder common rail diesel engine with DOHC and 16 valves now offers more power and torque. Maximum output has increased by 27 hp to 204 hp and maximum torque by 50 Nm to 500 Nm.
Less consumption and emissions
Combined with a six-speed automatic transmission, the engine helps the Land Cruiser reach a top speed of 175 km/h and acceleration of 9.9 seconds for 0 to 100 km/h, which is three seconds faster.
Thanks to stop/start technology, fuel consumption and CO2 emissions have been reduced - by 0.7 to 7.0 liters per 100 kilometers and by 18 to 192 g/km (factory data).
Optimized response of the touchscreen
The interior has been upgraded with an upgrade to the multimedia system. With faster software and better multi-touch screen response, as well as a personalizable Home View feature, the new system also offers Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Please see the gallery.
Web map updates for three years
Furthermore, the system comes with a one-box search function, three years of Connected Services and web map updates. Connected Services include live traffic updates, a Google search engine, parking information, fuel prices and weather reports.
Pedestrian detection also at night
The Land Cruiser is now equipped with the second generation of the active safety system Toyota Safety Sense. The extended scope includes a Pre-Collision System (PCS) with pedestrian detection also at night and cyclist detection during the day, as well as intelligent automatic distance control.
More prestige with version Invincible
Besides these technological updates, the Land Cruiser offers more style and prestige with the optional Invincible trim. Exterior features include the dark chrome front grille and rear bar.
This is complemented by black fog lamp housings, exterior mirrors, door moldings and taillight surrounds. The center console and center tunnel are finished in black.
The first new Land Cruisers will start rolling in Switzerland in October 2020, at prices ranging from 39,900 Swiss francs (Profi trim, 3-door) to 77,700 (Invincible trim, 5-door).
