The video shows what Toyota's new Hilux can handle in difficult conditions.
The latest version of the pickup comes with a new 2.8-liter powertrain as well as new suspension geometry - and "will thus continue to secure its reputation for quality, robustness and durability" (quote press release).
Spectacular performance in rough terrain
The test was carried out together with the Dakar Rally Team from Toyota Gazoo Racing - in line with their philosophy of always putting even better cars on wheels. In a special test on mud and gravel tracks, the Hilux was pushed to the limits.
Fernando Alonso: "The Hilux is an icon of which I have always been a fan. When I first saw the new Hilux, it looked spectacular. It was a pleasure to test the new vehicle in the difficult environment of a rally stage and push it to its limits."
Two who know how it works
Fernando Alonso is a two-time Le Mans winner and World Endurance Champion with Toyota Gazoo Racing, a two-time Formula One champion and winner of the 24 Hours of Daytona.
Marc Coma is a five-time Dakar winner in the motorcycle class as well as a six-time cross-country rally world champion.
