An old name, but a new car: Suzuki's new Ignis, which will be available at Swiss garages from December, is just 3.70 meters long. The compact mini crossover is rolling into its third generation. The mini SUV is powered by a so-called mild hybrid system consisting of a 1.2-liter dualjet four-cylinder combined with a small electric motor and coupled to a continuously variable CVT transmission. Also available as an option is an automated manual transmission. The Suzuki specifies a top speed of up to 170 km/h, and the sprint from 0 to 100 km/h takes between 11.5 and 12.2 seconds depending on the drive configuration.
According to the factory, fuel consumption is 4.6 liters per 100 kilometers with 104 g/km CO2 (Values with mild hybrid system SHVS 4.3 liters, 97 g/km CO2). Visually, the four-door model is almost identical to the iM4 all-wheel-drive study shown at the Geneva Motor Show. The three notches in the C-pillar are particularly characteristic. The automatic emergency brake assistant, the lane departure warning system and the drowsiness detection system ensure greater safety.
