Spacecamper: Limited for smaller budgets
AS IT HAPPENS Spacecamper offers individual camping conversions for the VW bus. Now, for the first time, the Darmstadt-based company wants to offer a standardized series model. For example, the camper is equipped with Volkswagen's pop-up sleeping roof, which is also used in the California. The roof bed with comfort slatted frame has a lying surface of 120 x 200 centimeters.
Isofix mounts for child seats
Add to that Spacecamper's patented, load-through rear seat. It offers space for up to three people and has Isofix mounts for two child seats. The bed extends across the entire width of the vehicle, and the lying surface measures around 165 x 205 centimeters. There is space on the side for a hanging locker. Further storage space is provided by drawers under the seats and a shoe cabinet that folds out to form a table.
Power supply is independent
As standard, the Spacecamper Limited has two built-in batteries for independent power supply. In addition, there is an external power connection. The walls in the passenger compartment are completely insulated, which provides good insulation against cold as well as heat. A rear tent can be unfolded from two compartments in the tailgate. It provides additional storage space and room for the shower, which is standard on board.
The Limited is powered by the 150-hp 2.0-liter TDI. Air conditioning, auxiliary air heating and a rear-view camera are also on board. The Limited will be available for one year. Swiss prices have not yet been set.
