Skoda: This is how the Octavia Scout and RS drive 🎥

BY NEED A year ago, the new Å koda Octavia was launched as a saloon and, for Switzerland, only as an estate. Now the RS and Scout versions follow. It is the fourth generation of one of the most sensible models on the planet. In a brief introduction, the video shows the assistance systems available for the Octavia model range. In a brief introduction, the video shows the assistance systems available for the Octavia model series.

The Å koda Octavia RS iV, the first RS with plug-in hybrid drive, is now followed by versions with powerful compression-ignition engines and gasoline engines. The 2.0 TDI now develops 200 hp and is available with all-wheel drive.

The 2.0 TSI produces 245 hp, which is transmitted to the road via the front axle. For the first time, the station wagon with body applications and off-road leanings is available with front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive.

Octavia
The highlight of the Octavia Scout is the new 2.0 TDI engine with 200 hp and 400 Newton meters of torque.

RS puts 245 hp and 370 Nm on the track
Since we like things simple and would - if possible - always opt for the most dynamic driving variant, the 245 hp gasoline engine already has a small stone in the board. It produces 370 Nm and accelerates the RS from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.7 seconds.

Handling is ensured by a specially tuned adaptive sports suspension with 15 millimeter lowering and standard 18-inch wheels with 225 tires.

Performance and dynamics suitable for everyday use
The new one delivers a level of unexcited, extremely accessible performance and everyday dynamics that is hard to top. The steering is very light and quick.

The chassis is not too soft and not too hard. The cockpit is simply beautiful and lovingly decorated. Furthermore, it is easy to operate.

The Alcantara on the dashboard and in the doors, the multi-adjustable sports seats, the red stitching, the large infotainment screen - Å koda has really gone the extra mile.

The trunk can fit an additional 30 liters
As before, the Scout has more ground clearance, a rugged off-road look, front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive. A bad-road package including underride protection and 15 millimeters more ground clearance are standard.

The new variant is just under two centimeters longer than the old one and now measures 4.70 meters in length. The trunk volume also increases by another 30 liters to 640 liters.

Specific bumpers with underride protection
The Scout features LED matrix headlights and LED fog lights as standard. Electrically operated exterior mirrors are also standard equipment. Visual features include specific bumpers with aluminum-look underride protection.

And these are the prices for the models for all cases: The RS is available from 46,390 francs (TSI) or 49,510 francs (TDI), the all-wheel-drive Scout from 46,870 francs.
