Exactly 75 years later, Skoda revived the designation and introduced the Skoda Fabia Monte Carlo in 2011 as a sporty lifestyle variant of the second generation. Even after the change to the third generation, the Fabia Monte Carlo is a bestseller within the model series. From 2014 to 2019, the Czech manufacturer also offered the Citigo and the Rapid Spaceback Monte Carlo.
Design with black elements
Alongside the current-generation Fabia Monte Carlo, this success story will now be continued by the Scala and Kamiq models. As sporty lifestyle variants, they are named after the district of Monaco and the Monte Carlo Rally, which has been held there since 1911 - with the legendary Sisteron special stage or the drive over the famous Col de Turini. Numerous black elements provide additional sporty accents. For example, parts of the Scala's front apron are black, and the Kamiq has black roof rails.
Both models will celebrate their trade show premieres at the IAA in Frankfurt from September 12 to 22, 2019. Swiss prices have not yet been set.
