After the Kodiaq and Karoq, Skoda is expanding its range with another SUV - the Kamiq.

While the flagship Kodiaq measures 4.70 meters and the Karoq 4.38 meters, the Kamiq (meaning second skin) makes do with a length of 4.24 meters. The width is 1.79 meters and the height 1.53 meters. Å koda uses the VW Group's small car architecture for the Kamiq, on which the Seat Arona and VW T-Cross are also built.

Plenty of space for luggage and transports
The trunk volume is 400 liters. With the rear seat backrests folded down, the volume increases to a total of 1395 liters. The backrest of the front passenger seat can also be folded down as an option, allowing particularly long objects of up to 2447 millimeters in length to be transported without difficulty.

Grained surfaces and upholstery fabrics
In the interior, the Kamiq follows the Vision RS study and features a free-standing 9.2-inch screen on the dashboard. The side air vents extend into the doors, the applications are large, and the ambient lighting can be ordered in copper, red or white. There are also new grained surfaces and upholstery fabrics.
Heating in the front and rear seats as well as in the steering wheel and windshield ensure pleasant comfort. The infotainment package includes three systems and various connectivity options.

Kamiq
The interior of the Å koda Kamiq is neatly styled and all controls can be reached quickly.

Variant with natural gas drive from October
The powertrain range starts with the 1.0 TSI model with manual 5-speed transmission, which produces 95 hp. The 1.0 TSI with 115 hp is equipped with a 6-speed transmission as standard or a 7-speed DSG as an option and mobilizes 200 Nm.
The top engine is the 1.5 TSI four-cylinder with 150 hp and 250 Nm. Its active cylinder management (ACT) automatically shuts down two cylinders at low load, thus reducing consumption. The 7-speed DSG is also available on this model in addition to the manual 6-speed transmission. The gasoline engines are equipped with particulate filters.
A natural gas-powered variant with 90 hp and manual 6-speed transmission will be on sale in Switzerland from mid-October.

Travel comfortably over long distances
The five-seater in motion is really fun for people who don't have particularly sporty demands. This starts with the comfortable entry, the easy-to-understand controls, and the well-cushioned seats allow passengers to get through long journeys without having to do gymnastics to get back into shape at the destination. Last but not least, the engines purr quietly, and you can chat or enjoy the sound system. What more could you want?

Good chassis, but no all-wheel drive
The suspension is also well tuned. Unfortunately, the Kamiq is not available with all-wheel drive, because those who drive fast will feel the drive forces in the good steering, which provides excellent feedback from the road. The situation is similar with the chassis. Å koda has managed a good compromise between comfort and firmness here.
Prices start at 22,500 Swiss francs (Active 1.TSI model with 95 hp). The Active, Ambition and Style trim levels are available.
