This model has always been a mainstay of the brand's success: The first three generations of the compact car sold more than two million units in total. And the fourth generation also promises to bring a breath of fresh air to the highly competitive compact class with its striking design and modern technologies.
Carsten Isensee, Acting Chairman of the Executive Board and Chief Financial Officer of Seat S.A.: "The Leon is our most successful model. We want to build on its success story with the new generation. We have invested a total of over 1.1 billion euros in development and production."
Elegance and sportiness
Like its predecessors, the current model clearly expresses the Spanish brand's design philosophy - but takes it to a new level in its fourth generation. According to the press release, "It stands for self-confidence, elegance and sportiness, while at the same time impressing with a calmer, more mature design language and more aesthetics. This clearly sets it apart from the competition in the compact class."
Front view like the Tarraco
The front view of the new edition is based on the Tarraco, the brand's largest SUV. The relatively small grille is a striking feature here. This is complemented by LED headlights.
The Leon was designed and developed in Barcelona. It will also be produced at Seat's headquarters there, the plant in Martorell. So the new Leon is now a perfect member of the family.
