Natural gas
The front of the Seat Arona shows which family the compact and agile SUV belongs to.

What is new for all three models is that they get a larger natural gas tank system consisting of three individual tanks. The Ibiza 1.0 TGI (from 18,550 Swiss francs), and Arona 1.0 TGI (from 21,300 Swiss francs) each use three steel tanks, while the Leon 1.5 TGI (from 26,950 Swiss francs, ST station wagon from 28,150 Swiss francs) uses two steel tanks and one tank. The prices are valid until June 30, 2019.

Range of up to 360 kilometers
The Arona is the first SUV in its class to be offered with natural gas drive. With its CNG tanks, which hold a total of 13.8 kilograms, it is designed for a range of up to 360 kilometers in Compressed Natural Gas mode.
The nine-liter gasoline tank provides an additional range of over 140 kilometers as a reserve. The three-cylinder engine produces 90 hp at 160 Newton meters (also fitted in the Ibiza). The TGI-Arona reaches a top speed of 172 km/h and accelerates from zero to 100 km/h in 13.2 seconds.

For the Leon now 20 hp more power
The Leon 1.5 TGI will in future be powered by a 130-hp 1.5-liter engine. This is 20 hp more than the previous 1.4 TGI unit. Maximum torque is 200 Nm. The three CNG tanks with a total capacity of 17.3 kilograms allow a greater CNG range (up to 440 kilometers). The total range of the natural gas vehicle is over 550 kilometers thanks to the gasoline reserve.
