Renault is pressing ahead with the electrification of its model range. In 2019, the manufacturer will launch a new, purely electric city SUV model in China. The K-ZE show car presented on the eve of the Paris Motor Show provides a preview of the new model.
The new E-SUV and hybridization in the small car and compact segments are important steps in Renault's "Drive the Future" strategic plan.
Clio, Captur and Mégane as hybrids
In addition to new, all-electric models, the hybridization of the model range is also part of Renault's strategy. From 2020, the first Clio Hybrid and the plug-in hybrid versions of Renault's bestsellers Captur and Mégane will be launched in Europe. This is made possible by the new e-Tech system developed by Renault.
By 2022, the manufacturer will expand its electric range to eight all-electric and twelve electrified models.
