This was made possible by the new Mégane R.S. Trophy-R and the passion with which Renault Sport and partners such as Akrapovič, Brembo, Bridgestone, Öhlins and Sabelt further enhanced the performance of the extremely sporty sedan.
Limited special series from the end of 2019
French racer Laurent Hurgon took 7'40.100 minutes to complete the 20.6-kilometer, 73-turn course. The weight-optimized high-performance variant of the recently unveiled Mégane R.S. Trophy will be launched at the end of 2019 in a special series limited to a few hundred units worldwide. Swiss prices have not yet been set.
1.8-liter turbo gasoline engine with 300 hp
The sports car developed by Renault Sport has the same 300-hp 1.8-liter turbo gasoline engine, but is around 130 kilograms lighter than the Mégane R.S. Trophy. In addition, the developers revised the chassis and modified the aerodynamics.
