The new 1.3 TCe engine is intended for the Scénic and Grand Scénic in Switzerland.

After four years of development, Renault is launching the 1.3 TCe, an ultra-modern, completely new 4-cylinder turbo gasoline engine. The latest generation of engines combines the know-how and development potential of the Renault Nissan Mitsubishi Alliance and Daimler AG at the highest level.

The result is a new development stage of the turbo petrol engine with numerous technical details and refinements that result in a higher degree of efficiency and correspondingly better efficiency.

The new TCe engine generation offers more power, higher torque at low engine speeds and over a wider engine speed range, lower CO2 emissions and extremely moderate fuel consumption. This has a direct impact on driving comfort and a more agile response.

The 1.3 TCe is available with 140 and 160 hp.

TCe 140 and TCe 160 in the Renault Scénic and Grand Scénic
In Switzerland, Renault is initially introducing the new TCe engine in the Scénic and Grand Scénic. The 140 hp and 160 hp power levels are available for both models.

In conjunction with the new 1.3 TCe, the combination of petrol engine and 7-speed dual-clutch gearbox is available for the Scénic and Grand Scénic for the first time.

In the Renault Scénic, the mixed fuel consumption for both engines is 5.4 l/100 km, with CO2 emissions of 122 g/km.

In the Grand Scénic, the average fuel consumption varies between 5.5 and 5.7 l/100 km with CO2 emissions between 124 and 127 g/km (depending on power and transmission).
