The new Renault Mégane R.S. Trophy-R is based on the New Mégane R.S. Trophy, but is another 130 kilograms lighter. The most important modifications compared with the outgoing model are an engine hood made of carbon-fiberglass composite with NACA air intake for better engine cooling, a titanium sports exhaust from Akrapovič and a racing suspension with adjustable Öhlins shock absorbers.

Exclusive sporty equipment
Added to this are specially developed 19-inch low-profile tires from Bridgestone and extra-lightweight bucket seats from Sabelt made of composite materials with Alcantara upholstery.

To reduce weight, Renault Sport engineers removed the rear seat bench and installed a lightweight twist-beam rear axle without 4Control all-wheel steering. Added to this are forged alloy wheels. Braking is provided by 355-millimeter composite brake discs from Brembo with red calipers.

To reduce weight, the rear seat bench has been removed from the Renault Mégane R.S. Trophy-R.

Top speed of 262 km/h
The engine of the new Mégane R.S. Trophy-R is the same 300-hp 1.8-liter turbo gasoline engine as in the Mégane R.S. Trophy. It accelerates the car from 0 to 100 km/h (62.14 mph) in 5.4 seconds and enables a top speed of 262 km/h (155.34 mph). Power is transmitted to the front wheels via the 6-speed manual transmission.

50 vehicles with carbon ceramic package
There are even more racing elements in the exclusive Mégane R.S. Trophy-R with carbon ceramic package. The small series of just 50 vehicles worldwide (surcharge 29,000 Swiss francs) features, among other things, 19-inch carbon wheels, 390-millimeter Brembo ceramic brake discs on the front axle with gold brake calipers, and modified air intake openings in the front instead of the characteristic R.S. Vision auxiliary headlights in the chequered flag design.
