Renault: Megane as a soft Stromer 🎥
The first representative of a new generation of e-cars proves to be dynamic and suitable for everyday use in the first test. The Renault Megane E-Tech Electric starts at a price of 38,500 Swiss francs.
To date, more than 300 patents have been filed in connection with the Mgane E-Teck Electric
When you look at the Megane, however, you'd think it was bigger, because it comes across as quite beefy. The front is adorned with Z-shaped daytime running lights and flat headlights.
The new logo, which is centered on the hood, is also striking. What immediately catches the eye are the gold-colored design elements underneath the hood, which set the E-Tech apart from the combustion engine.
440 liters of luggage fit in the trunk
We like the door handles, but they are not found at first glance. The front door handles are retractable as standard, the rear ones are hidden in the C-pillars.
If you look at the Megane from behind, you'll see a small rear window and taillights that create a 3D effect. There is room for 440 liters of luggage in the trunk.
In Switzerland there is only strongest drive
Renault is launching the Megane E-Tech Electric with two engine variants of 96 kW (130 hp, 250 Nm) and 160 kW (220 hp, 300 Nm), both with front-wheel drive. In Switzerland, only the more powerful version is offered.
Acceleration of the 1.6-ton model is 7.4 seconds when accelerating to 100 km/h from a standstill. The top speed is limited to 160 km/h. The electric vehicle is said to have a range of up to 470 kilometers according to WLTP. It can carry a maximum of 900 kilograms.
Unexpected driving experience in the Frenchman
Anyone driving the Megane E-Tech Electric enjoys an unexpected driving experience in the smooth electric car, where the focus is on driving pleasure thanks to the agile platform and dynamic engine.
With the innovative solutions for battery, comfort and safety, driving pleasure does not come at the expense of range. Quite the opposite.
