With the E-Tech drive system, Renault is introducing a new hybrid solution based on the same concept as the Renault F1 team's monoposti: an internal combustion engine, two electric motors and a battery coupled to a new type of multi-mode gearbox. This package provides a powerful drive in both the Clio and the Captur.

Mild or plug hybrid as required
The Clio E-Tech uses a 1.2 kWh battery, which enables a significant reduction in fuel consumption and thus CO2 emissions. In urban traffic, the car can be operated in 100 percent electric mode for around 80 percent of the driving time.
In the Captur E-Tech plug-in hybrid, the 9.8-kWh battery enables a range of up to 65 kilometers in urban traffic.

Zen, Business, Intens and Initiale Paris
Prices for the Clio E-Tech 140 and Captur E-Tech Plug-in 160 models, which will be available from June, are 24,200 and 38,100 Swiss francs respectively. The Clio is available in four equipment variants - Zen, Business, Intens and Initiale Paris - and the Captur in Intens, Edition One and Initiale Paris.
