The Range Rover Evoque can handle any terrain, including the narrow bridge over the Corinth Canal.
The mild hybrid (149 g/km) can be combined with all models in the Evoque with the exception of the front-wheel-drive D150. A plug-in hybrid drive and a three-cylinder gasoline engine will follow soon.
More space and neat interior
The Evoque is built on Jaguar Land Rover's new premium transverse architecture. It provides passengers with more space. The 20-millimeter longer wheelbase provides significantly more knee room in the rear.
In the interior, smooth surfaces and sparingly used lines dominate the strict elegance à la Range Rover. Here, too, high-quality materials and good workmanship characterize the brand's refined charm. You feel comfortable and in good hands from the first minute of driving.
Electronic helpers for more safety
The newcomer is the first model in its class to feature the Clear Sight Smart View interior rearview mirror, which transforms into a high-resolution video screen at the touch of a button. The roof-mounted rear-facing camera shows a 50-degree field of view in high resolution. This is a valuable contribution to safety.
Clear Sight Ground View is not only important off-road. The system's cameras look through the hood and under the vehicle. The upper touchscreen shows a 180-degree view under the front end. Makes sense when parking.
Mild hybrid and all-wheel drive on demand
The Evoque is the first Range Rover to be launched with a 48-volt mild hybrid. The heart of the drive is a belt starter generator mounted on the engine. If the mild hybrid drives slower than 17 km/h and the driver depresses the brake pedal, the internal combustion engine is automatically switched off.
Every member of the family has to be best in class on any terrain. The Evoque is therefore equipped with the second development stage of the Active Driveline drive system, which provides all-wheel drive on demand.
Hand switch a real fun mobile
Anyone who wants to experience the new British car, which is available with 150 to 300 hp, will be right at home in a manual diesel or gasoline engine. That's where the real joy of driving comes in. Prices start at 43,900 Swiss francs (4-cylinder turbo diesel, two-liter displacement, 150 hp).
