Overtaking maneuvers on country roads can be handled safely and easily in the shortest possible time with the Taycan

With addition number 1, Porsche is presenting the fourth version of its first all-electric sports sedan, following the Taycan Turbo S, Taycan Turbo and Taycan 4S. This model relies on rear-wheel drive and is available with two battery sizes.

With the standard performance battery, the model produces up to 300 kW (408 hp) in overboost with Launch Control, and up to 350 kW (476 hp) with the optional Performance Battery Plus. The range is up to 431 and 484 kilometers respectively.

Taycan
From the front, the rear-wheel drive Taycan looks particularly wide and flat with its strongly curved fenders.

No waiver with the variant for beginners
A drive on less frequented roads as well as on the highways and in city traffic provides one insight above all: Even this entry-level variant means anything but doing without.

According to the factory, the Taycan accelerates from zero to 100 km/h in 5.4 seconds in both variants. The top speed is also a uniform 230 km/h.

The maximum charging power is up to 225 kW (performance battery) or up to 270 kW (performance battery plus). This means that both batteries can be charged from five to 80 percent in 22 minutes and 30 seconds. This means that power for another 100 kilometers is already on board after around five minutes.

The lightning-like drive makes a powerful impression
The lightning-like acceleration of this Taycan variant is also impressive. The torque can be called up without delay. The spontaneous acceleration is matched by a chassis that easily transfers the power to the road and successfully compensates for the curb weight of over two tons. Of course, the low center of gravity also helps.

This Taycan designed so that its performance can be reliably reproduced. Depending on the driving mode engaged, the change between first and second gear, which cannot be initiated manually, is noticeable. The low seating position is reminiscent of a sports car.

The aerodynamically optimized 19-inch Taycan Aero wheels and the black anodized brake calipers help to distinguish the Taycan within the model family. The lower nose section, side sills and rear diffuser in black match the components of the Taycan 4S. LED main headlights are on board as standard.

Larger battery is definitely recommended
The entry-level model, which was voted German Car of the Year (GCOTY) last year, is unlikely to remain at the cost price. In addition to the larger battery, which is definitely recommended, the surcharge list includes many items that allow the potential of this sedan to be really explored. And yet the same applies: Porsche will make new friends with this entry-level model of the Taycan.
The rear-wheel-drive Taycan will be in dealerships from mid-March. Prices start at 100,300 Swiss francs.

More space for the occupants, material and luggage
Addition number 2, the Cross Turismo. Although the car appears longer than the sedan, it is practically the same size. Above all, it offers more space inside for people and materials as well as increased ground clearance and more comfort.

Range is between 400 and 450 kilometers
The engines are called Taycan 4 Cross Turismo, Taycan 4S Cross Turismo, Taycan Turbo Cross Turismo and Taycan Turbo S Cross Turismo. All variants feature the familiar electric drive with 800-volt battery.

The larger of the two batteries, the Performance Battery Plus with 93 kWh, is fitted as standard. The ranges are around 400 to 450 kilometers.

Fender flares and special sills
The Cross Turismo has a longer, flatter roofline, which gives the rear passengers more headroom. The cargo space is also larger, holding 446 to 1212 liters. A roof-mounted transport system and a bicycle rack for the rear are optionally available for bulky items.

Fender flares, special sills, different skirts and 20 millimeters more ground clearance distinguish the Taycan Cross Turismo from the sedan. All Cross Turismo variants also offer a Gravel mode that raises the suspension by ten millimeters and makes the dampers more comfortable.

Swiss market launch in May and June
The Taycan Cross Turismo rolls into Swiss dealerships in May and June. Prices start at 112 600 Swiss francs with country-specific equipment for the Taycan 4 Cross Turismo. The Taycan 4S Cross Turismo is available from 135 600, the Taycan Turbo Cross Turismo from 186 700 and the Taycan Turbo S Cross Turismo from 227 000 Swiss francs.
