The most striking thing about the new GT3 version with Turing package is that the most conspicuous part of the extreme sports car is missing. By dispensing with the fixed rear wing, Porsche caters to the understatement clientele. An automatically extending rear spoiler is used to provide the necessary downforce at high speeds.
Silver-colored strips of anodized aluminum on the side windows serve as a distinguishing feature, underlining the understated appearance of the newcomer. The interior, which is available exclusively for the GT3 with Touring package, has a particularly refined look with extended leather upholstery in black.
Standard with 6-gear manual transmission
The designation Touring Package goes back to an equipment variant of the legendary 911 Carrera RS of the 1973 model year. In 2017, Porsche took up the idea and again offered a Touring package for the 991 generation of the 911 GT3. The four-liter, six-cylinder boxer engine with 510 hp is based on the 911 GT3 R's powertrain, which has been tested in endurance races.
The purist Porsche 911 GT3, weighing just 1418 kilograms, comes with a 6-speed manual transmission as standard. However, the 7-speed PDK can also be selected at no extra charge.
Touring package is available as an option at no extra charge
The new 911 GT3 is already at dealerships, with prices starting at 209,800 Swiss francs. The Touring package can be ordered as an option and at no extra charge. Swiss customers benefit from an extended warranty and the contents of the Porsche Swiss Package, which includes many options at no extra charge.
