The new model is available with two battery sizes and delivers up to 390 kW (530 PS) with the Performance battery or up to 420 kW (571 PS) with the Performance Battery Plus. Following the Taycan Turbo S and Taycan Turbo, the Taycan 4S is the new entry-level model in the range.
Total capacity is 93.4 kWh
A single-level performance battery with a total capacity of 79.2 kWh is fitted as standard. The two-storey Performance Battery Plus, familiar from the Taycan Turbo S and Taycan Turbo, is available as an option. Its total capacity is 93.4 kWh. The performance and range vary accordingly.
From 0 to 100 km/h in four seconds
With the Performance Battery, the Taycan 4S achieves up to 390 kW (530 PS) of overboost power. Equipped with the Performance Battery Plus, it delivers up to 420 kW (571 PS). From a standstill, the Taycan 4S accelerates from zero to 100 km/h in 4.0 seconds in both variants. The top speed is also a uniform 250 km/h.
The range is up to 407 kilometers with the Performance battery and up to 463 kilometers with the Performance battery Plus). The maximum charging power is 225 kW (Performance battery) or 270 kW (Performance battery Plus).
Beginning of a new era
With its clear, purist design, the Taycan signals that a new era has begun. At the same time, it unmistakably bears the Porsche design DNA.
From the front, it looks particularly wide and flat, with strongly curved fenders. The silhouette is defined by the sporty roofline that slopes down towards the rear. The side section with its strong sculpting is also characteristic.
The Taycan 4S is now available to order and will arrive at dealerships in January 2020. In Switzerland, prices start at 135,700 Swiss francs including country-specific equipment. Swiss customers also benefit from an extended warranty and the Porsche Swiss Package.
