Porsche: New Carrera also with all-wheel drive

ENHANCEMENT Following the market launch of the Carrera 992, Porsche adds two all-wheel-drive models to its basic range. As with the 4S sports cars, the improved performance goes hand in hand with further development of the front-axle transmission. The new all-wheel-drive 911 Carrera 4 Coupé and 911 Carrera 4 Cabriolet models are now waiting for customers in Switzerland.

The now water-cooled clutch and differential unit has reinforced clutch plates for greater load-bearing capacity and robustness. An increase in the actuating torques at the clutch improves its actuating accuracy and thus the function of the additional drive via the front axle. All in all, the further developed front axle transmission with PTM (Porsche Traction Management) supports even better traction in all road conditions.

Same motorization
Like the rear-wheel-drive models, the new sports cars produce 385 hp at 6500 rpm from the three-liter six-cylinder boxer engine with biturbo charging. The maximum torque of 450 newton meters is available over a wide rpm range from 1950 to 5000 rpm, which benefits both performance and suitability for everyday use.

With all-wheel drive, driving the new 911 Carrera 4 Coupé is fun for experienced drivers even in pouring rain.

Faster out of the starting blocks
With the eight-speed PDK dual-clutch transmission, the 911 Carrera 4 Coupé accelerates from zero to 100 km/h in 4.2 seconds and the 911 Carrera 4 Cabriolet in 4.4 seconds. The optional Sport Chrono Package shortens the sprint by 0.2 seconds in each case. All acceleration figures are thus 0.1 seconds better than on the predecessor. Top speed is 291 km/h for the all-wheel-drive coupe and 289 km/h for the all-wheel-drive convertible.

Swiss buyers benefit
The price for the 911 Carrera 4 Coupé in Switzerland starts at 146,700 Swiss francs and for the 911 Carrera 4 Cabriolet at 165,600 Swiss francs, including VAT and country-specific equipment. Swiss customers also benefit from an extended warranty and the equipment options of the Porsche Swiss Package, which are included at no extra charge.
