The Porsche Taycan accelerates from zero to 100 km/h in well under 3.5 seconds on electric power alone
A still camouflaged prototype will make appearances on three continents within three weeks: Important sales markets for Porsche's first purely electrically powered sports car will be visited: China, the UK and the USA.
The foiling on the roof is a tribute to the respective host country: In Shanghai, the prototype was on the road with a dragon graphic. Behind the wheel Li Chao, driver from the Asian Porsche Carrera Cup.
Demo drive with Neel Jani in New York
The top speed of the Taycan is over 250 km/h. It accelerates from zero to 100 km/h in well under 3.5 seconds, and the 200 km/h mark is reached in less than twelve seconds. The next stops on the demo tour were the hill run as part of the Festival of Speed in Goodwood and at the season finale of the Formula E Championship in New York (July 13 and 14), where renowned racing drivers Mark Webber and Neel Jani will be at the wheel.
Before the Taycan celebrates its world premiere at the IAA (September 12-22) in Frankfurt, it will have covered around six million test kilometers.
