Porsche: On a test drive with Walter Röhrl 🎥

Two-time rally world champion and Porsche brand ambassador Walter Röhrl completed several test laps on the GP circuit of the Hockenheimring with the new high-performance SUV from Zuffenhausen. In terms of driving dynamics, this new Cayenne is said to represent a huge step forward.
An SUV with the genes of a sports car
Particularly sporty exceptions in the early years included the first Cayenne Turbo S in 2006 with 521 hp (left image in the gallery) and the GTS models from 2007 onwards, which were specifically designed for sportiness (right image in the gallery).
Walter Röhrl: "These were off-road vehicles that could be driven like sports cars - a real sensation at the time."
The chassis has been trimmed for performance
With this new model, which will soon be ready for series production, Porsche wants to underscore its claim to best-in-class performance. However, the focus has been placed on exceptional on-road performance.
In addition to optimizations to all chassis and control systems, the active roll stabilization system with its new tuning plays a major role in the stable handling of the new model. It keeps the body balanced and leveled even during very sporty cornering. The wheel geometry has also been modified.
Emotional sound of the new titanium exhaust system
While the model's visual highlights were still largely hidden under black camouflage foil, Röhrl was able to intensively convince himself of its driving dynamics potential. Accompanied by the emotional sound of the titanium exhaust system with centrally positioned tailpipes, the champion turned lap after lap around the Hockenheimring.
Walter Röhrl: "Even in fast corners, the vehicle remains stable, and the turn-in behavior is enormously precise. More than ever, you have the feeling of sitting in a compact sports car rather than a bulky SUV."
