Porsche: Macan for beginners with 252 hp
Stuttgart-based carmaker Porsche is adding an entry-level model to the Macan range with a 252-hp 4-cylinder turbo that develops its maximum power between 5000 and 6800 rpm. The Porsche Macan accelerates from zero to 100 km/h in 6.7 seconds; with the optional Sport Chrono package, the time is reduced to 6.5 seconds. The top speed is 229 km/h. According to the factory, standard consumption is 7.2 to 7.4 liters per 100 kilometers. The Macan is available to order now and costs from 69,000 Swiss francs in Switzerland, including country-specific equipment.
With the Porsche Swiss Package, customers receive the following options at no extra charge: navigation module, digital radio, power steering plus, front/rear parking assistant including rearview camera, and heated front seats. In addition, Swiss customers benefit from an extended warranty (2 + 2). The market launch will begin in July 2016.
