The 911 Turbo enters the next generation of the model series as a Coupé and Cabriolet.
Thanks to 580 hp, an increase of 40 hp over the predecessor, both variants beat the magic mark of 2.8 seconds (minus 0.2 ) for the zero to 100 km/h sprint.
750 newton meters (plus 40 Nm) of torque make intermediate spurts even more spontaneous and effortless. This puts the acceleration, power and torque of the new 911 Turbo on a par with the 911 Turbo S of the previous generation.
Coordination with individual wishes
Here, too, power is transmitted by the turbo-specific eight-speed PDK transmission. The top speed remains unchanged at 320 km/h.
For the first time, options such as a sports or lightweight package, sports suspension and sports exhaust system are also available for the 911 Turbo. This allows customers to tailor their vehicle even better to their individual wishes.
Response and performance
The six-cylinder boxer engine of the 911 Turbo with a displacement of 3745 cc, which has been boosted to 580 hp, now has symmetrically mounted VTG turbochargers with electrically controlled bypass valves.
Together with the redesigned charge air cooling system and the use of piezo injectors, this improves responsiveness, performance, torque curve and revving.
Two different chassis variants
With 42 millimeters more track width at the front and the new 20-inch tires size 255/35, the front axle now steers in even more precisely. For the chassis, the body above the front axle has been widened by 45 to 1840 millimeters.
The active all-wheel drive control can now transmit even more power to the front wheels. The brake system with the red fixed calipers is noticeably more powerful
For the first time, an optional sports exhaust system is available for the 911 Turbo. Also new are two different chassis variants.
Further developed adaptive aerodynamics
A distinctive feature of the new 911 Turbo is the further developed adaptive aerodynamics with controlled cooling air flaps at the front, a larger active front spoiler and a significantly larger variable rear spoiler.
Process air is drawn in via the typical 911 Turbo air inlets in the rear side panels instead of cooling air as before. The intercoolers are now positioned directly in the air flow under the trunk lid.
Advanced Cockpit and Direct Touch Control
The interior is basically the same as that of the 911 Carrera models with Porsche Advanced Cockpit and Direct Touch Control.
The now 10.9-inch center screen of the PCM can be operated quickly and distraction-free thanks to the new architecture. Equipment includes fully electric 14-way sport seats, Sport Chrono Package, a GT sport steering wheel with shift paddles, multifunction and mode switch, and the powerful surround sound system from Bose.
The 911 Turbo Coupé is available in Switzerland from 227,200 Swiss francs, including country-specific equipment, while the 911 Turbo Cabriolet costs from 244,100 Swiss francs.
