The system output of 680 hp allows the Stuttgart car to sprint from a standstill to 100 km/h in 3.8 seconds.

Porsche points to the 918 Spyder as the model for the new Cayenne Turbo S E-Hybrid. The boost strategy of the new model was taken from this model. As in the 918 Spyder and the Panamera E-Hybrid, the Turbo S E-Hybrid SUV and SUV Coupé combine a powerful V8 gasoline turbo engine and an electric motor.
The electric motor integrated in the 8-speed automatic transmission is a tuning unit. As a motor, it supports the gasoline engine during acceleration, and as a generator it supplies energy back to the battery during deceleration. In this way, it provides additional power without increasing consumption.

Big, heavy and very fast
Even the proud weight of 2490 kilograms does not prevent the 4.92 meter long Cayenne from delivering outstanding performance. The system output of 680 hp lets the car accelerate from a standstill to 100 km/h in just 3.8 seconds, and top speed is 295 km/h. The 14.1-kW battery allows a purely electric drive of around 40 kilometers, an acceleration time to 60 km/h of 6.6 seconds and a top speed of 135 km/h.

Charging takes about six hours
The accelerator pedal has to be depressed carefully for purely electric driving, because the gasoline engine quickly kicks in and helps to propel the vehicle. The Cayenne Turbo S E-Hybrid is most economical in Auto Hybrid mode, and sportiest in Sport Plus. In Auto mode, E-Power, E-Hold and E-Charge can be selected, depending on how you want to allocate the electric power. Charging from a household outlet takes around six hours.

Sports equipment is standard
Thanks to its massive power, the latest Cayenne feels very light on its feet. And roll stabilization, adaptive all-wheel drive, all-wheel steering and ceramic brakes - all included in the Swiss Package - set it apart from the SUV crowd. The coupe is designed to be even slightly sportier than the base model. At higher speeds, an adaptively extending rear spoiler provides additional stability, and the panoramic glass roof can optionally be replaced by a carbon roof. The base prices are 228,200 Swiss francs (SUV) and 232,700 Swiss francs (coupe).
