There are Porsche racing cars that have burned themselves into the minds of motorsport fans forever. Their legendary designs have contributed at least as much to their cult status as their best times.
The color variety did not make a Porsche faster, but it certainly made it more desirable.
Icons of the customer racing teams
For the second generation of the Porsche 935, whose technology is based on the 911 GT2 RS high-performance sports car, the design team developed seven so-called liveries. These reinterpret past motorsport eras.
In addition to paying homage to the legendary Porsche Salzburg team, which took the first overall victory for Porsche at the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1970 with the 917, the color palette includes many icons of the customer racing teams that used the Group 5 Porsche 935 back then.
Heating manufacturer Vaillant at the start
For example, the legendary Gulf blue of John Wyer's team, the Interscope design of Kremer Racing from the American IMSA series, the characteristic black and gold look of the cooperation with John Player Special at the time, through to the striking red Momo variant that was successful for the first time at the Giro Italia in 1979. Or the homage to the Porsche 935 K3 from Kremer Racing and Dick Barbour and their sponsorship with the Sachs company.
Every enthusiast's heart will certainly be warmed at the latest when the turquoise design from the collaboration with heating manufacturer Vaillant is used on the new 935.
