Polestar: The Swedes give mighty power
GROWTH PLANS The Swedish manufacturer Polestar is on the move more rapidly than almost any other carmaker. The Polestar 3 model is currently being announced, and the partnership with the online store Gowago is being launched in Switzerland.
The Swedish manufacturer of electric performance vehicles was only founded in 2017 by Volvo and Geely. After the Polestar 1, the product portfolio currently includes three variants of the Polestar 2 with outputs of up to 300 kW (408 hp).
More e-cars will be introduced over the next three years: the Polestar 3 in 2022, the Polestar 4 in 2023, and then a smaller, electric performance SUV coupe.
The market launch of the Polestar 5 is planned for 2024. With its expansion into new markets, Polestar plans to increase global sales tenfold from around 29,000 vehicles in 2021 to 290,000 vehicles in 2025.
Autonomous driving on the highway is possible
The Polestar 3 electric performance SUV is to be unveiled next year. It will be the first Polestar model to be manufactured in the USA, in Charleston, South Carolina.
Thomas Ingenlath, CEO of Polestar: "We will build in America for Americans. The Polestar 3 will be one of the most climate-friendly cars ever. Equipped with a lidar sensor, it will enable autonomous driving on the highway."
Partnership with the online car store Gowago
Polestar Switzerland also has new plans. A partnership has been agreed with the large online car store Gowago.ch. Given the rapid pace of technological progress, it is uncertain for customers who pay cash to forecast the future value of their car. The Gowago.ch platform allows customers to take out an all-inclusive lease from 24 to 60 months.
This offers convenience and financial security, as only a fixed monthly price is ever payable and the car can be returned or purchased at any time.
The goal is the best mobility solution for Switzerland
