Landing gear
A special feature of the 5.34-meter pickup is the chassis: coil springs are used at the front and rear of the ladder frame chassis. It also consists of a double wishbone front axle and a multi-link rear axle suitable for transporting heavy loads (max. payload over one ton) with a rigid axle component and high interlocking capability. The towing capacity is 3, 5 tons trailer load.
Lifting optional
This comfort suspension for on-road and off-road use alike is standard in all European markets. It offers a ground clearance of 202 millimeters. A 20 millimeter higher chassis is available as an option, providing even greater ground clearance and better off-road capability.
Motorization
For the market launch in late fall, there will be a 2.3-liter four-cylinder diesel engine in two power ratings of 120 kW/163 hp or as a biturbo with 140 kW/190 hp. Both diesel models are available with pure rear-wheel drive or with selectable all-wheel drive. Due to very individual market requirements, for example in Dubai and Morocco, the 122 kW/165 hp gasoline X 200 model is only available as a left-hand drive model with rear-wheel drive. According to the supplier, this will be followed in mid-2018 by a V6 diesel engine with 190 kW/258 hp and a maximum torque of 550 Newton meters. The top model will then have permanent all-wheel drive and seven-speed automatic transmission with steering-wheel shift paddles and start-stop function as standard. Prices have not yet been announced.
