By 2023, 85 percent of the lion brand's models across Europe are to be electrified, and 100 percent by 2025. The new Peugeot 308 comes with two plug-in hybrid drives and thus complements the range of electrified vehicles.
The 308 Hybrid 225 e-EAT8 model delivers 225 hp (165 kW) thanks to the combination of a 180 hp petrol engine and an 81 kW electric motor (110 hp) in the system. The power is transmitted to the front wheels via the e-EAT8 automatic transmission. The second power variant delivers a system output of 180 hp (132 kW)
Electrification is at the heart of the brand
Linda Jackson, Global CEO Peugeot: "Peugeot's successful electric models are the e-208 and the e-2008. Electrification is at the heart of our Power of Choice strategy, giving customers the opportunity to choose the powertrain that best suits their needs. This strategy is made possible by the Stellantis Group's multi-energy platforms."
The future of passenger cars and commercial vehicles
Peugeot's electrified range includes both passenger cars and commercial vehicles. By 2022, the lion brand will be offering a 100 percent electrified version of every model in its commercial vehicle range, allowing commercial customers to drive in the low emission zones of major cities while benefiting from a load volume equivalent to that of the combustion versions.
