Opel: New Corsa GSi is supposed to be fun to drive
The cornering artist is powered by the powerful 1.4-liter turbo gasoline engine with 150 hp and 220 Newton meters of torque. This enables the new Corsa GSi to accelerate to 100 km/h in 8.9 seconds, with a top speed of 207 km/h.
Sports suspension à la OPC
The Corsa GSi is designed to be fun to drive, especially on winding country roads. That's why the engineers placed particular emphasis on optimized responsiveness and pulling power when configuring the engine - which boasts a specific liter output of more than 100 hp.
The sports suspension familiar from the OPC variant and the brakes fitted with signal red calipers ensure precise athleticism, exceptional handling and short braking distances. This is matched by the optionally available 18-inch alloy wheels with grippy 215/40 R18 tires.
Sporty look
The high-performance feel of the new Corsa GSi is also reflected in its athletic, striking exterior with large air intakes, strongly shaped hood, prominent rear spoiler and side sills.
The large chrome-rimmed design elements, which are visually connected by black cross struts running horizontally across the front, as well as the likewise black cross strut in the hood, support the impression of the sports car standing hard on the road.
The powerful styling is also reflected in the rear view. The striking rear spoiler on the roof edge provides additional downforce; the sporty chrome tailpipe is framed by the powerfully drawn rear valance lip in body color.
Sport feeling is also conveyed in the interior
The Corsa GSi driver takes a seat on an optional Recaro performance seat, hands on the sports leather steering wheel. Now shift into gear with the leather shift knob, put your foot on the aluminum sports pedal - and the driving fun begins.
The Opel Corsa GSi will be available to order from July 2018. The first vehicles will arrive at Swiss dealerships from October.
