Volker Strycek, Opel Director Performance Cars and Motorsport, tuned the OPC suspension and the brakes equipped with signal red brake calipers on the legendary Nordschleife of the Nürburgring.

The new model impresses with its OPC sports suspension - for optimized handling and the shortest braking distances. The Corsa GSi is powered by a 1.4-liter turbo gasoline engine with 150 hp and 220 Newton meters of torque (combined fuel consumption of 6.4 to 6.1 liters per 100 kilometers according to the factory,
147 to 139 g/km). The four-cylinder turbo impresses together with the short-ratio 6-speed manual gearbox and amazing pulling power in second and third gear.

Tuning the suspension on the Nordschleife
Volker Strycek, Opel Director Performance Cars and Motorsport, tuned the OPC suspension and the brakes fitted with signal red brake calipers on the legendary Nordschleife of the Nürburgring. This guarantees exemplary agile handling and short braking distances - especially in combination with the optional 18-inch alloy wheels with 215/40 ZR18 sports tires.

Sporty GSi have been a tradition at Opel for years
The Manta GSi and the Kadett GSi with a 115 hp 1.8-liter engine were already getting the adrenaline pumping in 1984. Just four years later, the Kadett 2.0 GSi with a 150 hp 16V two-liter engine and two overhead camshafts took over the sporty baton. Drivers of the first Astra generation also benefited from this engine. The first member of the Corsa GSi family was launched in 1988 as the Corsa A with 100 hp - a sought-after classic today. With the Corsa D GSi, the small car all-rounder took a short break from late 2012 as the GSi - until now. The Corsa GSi is back!
