For the first time, Opel is offering a purely battery-electric variant with 100 kW (136 hp) of power and a range of up to 330 kilometers with the all-new sixth Corsa generation. The Corsa-e is the people's electric car with the lightning bolt and can be ordered from as little as 34,990 francs. A flex premium of 1000 francs can be deducted from this list price.
Complete equipment for the start
The Corsa-e already offers automatic climate control with remote control, an electric parking brake with hill-start assist, the keyless start system, and the Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatible multimedia radio with 7-inch color touchscreen in the Edition trim. There are also systems such as front collision warning with automatic hazard braking and pedestrian detection, and lane departure warning at no extra charge.
The niche existence of electromobility
Opel CEO Michael Lohscheller: "With the Corsa, we have chosen the brand's most popular model series to finally free electromobility from its niche existence. The new Corsa is purely electric. By 2024, we will offer an electrified variant in all model series without exception."
Up to 80 percent charge in 30 minutes
With its range, the five-seater Corsa-e is fully suitable for everyday use. The 50 kWh batteries can be recharged to 80 percent within 30 minutes using fast charging. It doesn't matter whether it's a cable solution for the household socket, a wallbox or high-speed charging.
Emission-free driving and driving fun
The powertrain in the new Corsa-e also combines emission-free driving with plenty of driving pleasure. This is ensured by 100 kW (136 hp) of power and 260 Newton meters of maximum torque from a standstill. Immediate responsiveness, agility and dynamics are among its outstanding characteristics. The new Opel Corsa-e takes 2.8 seconds to sprint from 0 to 50 km/h, and just 8.1 seconds to reach 100 km/h.
The new Opel Corsa-e will also be delivered to the first customers in Switzerland from spring 2020.
