Opel: Corsa GSi as a new small sports car

WITH OPC SPORT SUSPENSION What the Opel Insignia GSi already impressively demonstrates in the mid-size class, the new Opel Corsa GSi will soon also show in the small car segment. Even from the outside, the new Opel Corsa GSi makes it clear: this is a small sports car that also cuts a fine figure in everyday life.

The three-door impresses with its precisely drawn lines: The design with large air intakes, strongly shaped hood, prominent rear spoiler and precisely modeled side sills is characteristic. At the front, the bold face with a large honeycomb grille and clasps extending from the central Opel lightning bolt as well as exterior mirror housings in a carbon racing look can be seen.

The large chrome-edged design elements, which are visually connected by black crossbars running horizontally across the front, and the black crossbar in the hood reinforce the impression of a sports car standing firmly on its wheels.

Striking rear spoiler and chrome exhaust tailpipe
The powerful styling is also reflected in the rear view. The striking rear spoiler on the edge of the roof provides additional downforce. The sporty chrome exhaust tailpipe is framed by the powerfully designed rear apron lip in body color.

The powerful styling is also reflected in the rear view.

A sporty feel in the interior too: the Corsa GSi features optional Recaro performance seats and a sports leather steering wheel. The leather gear knob and aluminum accelerator pedal also convey a sporty feel.

The sports suspension familiar from the Corsa OPC, together with the steering and the signal red brake calipers, ensures the best handling. If necessary, these can be used to grip the optional 18-inch alloy wheels.

Available to order from summer, at dealers from fall
You don't have to do without the best connectivity either. On request, the Opel IntelliLink infotainment system is also on board and with it the smartphone world of Apple iOS and Android devices.

Opel Head of Sales and Marketing Peter Küspert: "We are continuing our long GSi tradition with the new Corsa GSi. There was already an extra sporty version of the first Corsa, which is now a sought-after youngtimer. With its OPC sports suspension, our new model will set new standards in the segment."

The Opel Corsa GSi will be available to order from summer 2018. The first vehicles will arrive at Swiss dealerships in the fall.
