Tests on highways and mountain roads
To meet the needs of as many drivers as possible, Nissan is taking a global approach. At the test site in Hokkaido, Japan, the test tracks were designed so that they also map roads in Europe, for example.

Nissan was not content with the knowledge gained there, however, and also tested the Ariya on site in different regions - for example, also on highways and mountain roads in Europe.

Consideration of European requirements

Ian Shepherd, Project Management Director at Nissan Technical Centre Europe in Cranfield, UK: "The development of the Nissan Ariya has been a complex journey. As part of this process, we worked closely with our Japanese colleagues to bring European customer requirements into the early stages of development."
