Nissan: This is how to live with the Juke 🎥
HOW IT LIKES Nissan's Juke is polarizing, and the new edition remains so. At the rear, the Japanese car shows similarities to the small Micra, while at the front, the split of the lights is reminiscent of its predecessor. Nissan presents the second generation of the Juke. Nissan presents the second generation of the Juke. The original SUV is making strong gains with the masses.
Daytime running lights above, headlights below. LED headlights are already available in the basic version. In profile, the parallels to the old model are unmistakable, for example in the rear door handles near the window frame.
Loose space for 19-inch tires
The new Juke was obviously designed for large rims. Even with the 19-inch wheels, there is still plenty of room in the wheel well. But even with the smaller 17-inch tires, the Juke doesn't look pathetic.
Interior high quality equipment
Despite the less than optimal all-round visibility, you can sit comfortably in the Juke because the space has increased noticeably. Apart from the optional peppy colors in the more expensive trim levels, the interior has been designed without being overly modern.
New soft-touch materials on the dashboard, door trim and footwell make a high-quality impression, to which the optional sporty seats and ambient lighting also contribute. All seats are very comfortable.
Significantly extended wheelbase
This is made possible by the increased body length of seven centimeters to 4.21 meters. But it is above all the wheelbase, which has grown by ten centimeters, that gives the rear passengers 5.8 centimeters more knee room and more headroom.
Three-cylinder turbo drive for the time being
For the time being, the only engine is a three-cylinder turbocharged gasoline engine with a displacement of 1.0 liters and an output of 117 hp. The reason given for this step is that 56 percent of customers in the segment opt for an engine with between 110 and 130 hp.
Not a bad idea, because the 117 hp engine pleases with its smooth running. The typical three-cylinder sound can only be heard briefly after a cold start, otherwise it remains remarkably quiet on the highway with the exception of wind noise. There is no all-wheel drive.
Many improvements in detail
The Nissan Juke has become significantly more attractive. Maybe not visually, that's an aspect everyone has to decide for themselves. But the compact SUV scores with more space, a chic interior, many safety features and attractive prices, which start at an attractive 21,490 francs in Switzerland.
Sound system like in a disco
And if you still have a spare 690 francs, you should afford the Bose Personal Plus sound system: Eight powerful speakers - including two speakers each integrated into the two headrests of the front seats - provide exceptionally clear sound.
A special kind of experience that turns the Juke into a rolling jukebox.
