Engines: At the market launch, a 0.9-liter turbo gasoline engine with three cylinders and a 1.5-liter diesel engine will be available, both producing 90 hp. This will be followed shortly by a 1.0-liter naturally aspirated gasoline engine with 73 hp.

The small Japanese car offers more interior space, is powered by high-revving turbo engines, has an agile chassis and offers an almost seamless safety net. The design of the new Nissan Micra remains true to the Sway concept car that the brand presented at the Geneva Motor Show in spring 2015. With the "V-Motion" radiator grille typical of the Nissan brand, from which a sharp-edged line runs from the boomerang-shaped lights to the rear, the front end also dominates the new Micra. Ride comfort and handling have been significantly improved compared with the predecessor. Responsible for this are two systems previously only offered on the Qashqai and X-Trail: active ride comfort control and active lane control, which enable more precise handling and reduce understeer tendencies. The new power steering provides a direct steering feel and offers improved feedback.
