The Lego Speed Champions Nissan GT-R Nismo is one of the first 'Speed Champions 2020' themed sets to be 25 percent larger than previous years' kits. The GT-R Nismo model consists of 298 elements and captures the authentic and complex details of the racing car in a relatively small model.
Clear approval from Mr. GT-R
Hiroshi Tamura, senior Nissan product specialist for the GT-R - also known as "Mr. GT-R" - has given his approval to the Lego version.
Hiroshi Tamura: "The GT-R has been part of my life since I was ten years old. Working with Lego was like the awakening of my ten-year-old self, rediscovering what makes the GT-R so special to me. It's remarkable how much the Lego Group's attention to detail reminds me of our own craftsmen."
Premiere of the new Nissan GT-R Nismo
The front and rear bumpers, roof, trunk and rear spoiler of the most extreme and powerful GT-R ever, which was also unveiled on this occasion, are made of carbon fiber; in addition, there are carbon fiber front fenders with specially curved air vents, new alloy wheels and tires, new tuning for the suspension and transmission, Brembo carbon brakes and new turbochargers.
