As part of the electrification strategy, the new Qashqai is offered with two drive options: A 1.3-liter petrol engine is offered as a mild hybrid in two power levels, plus the Qashqai e-Power as a plug-in hybrid with range extender.
Advanced driver assistance system
Also on board is the advanced Pro Pilot driver assistance system, which can accelerate and brake the car to a set speed within a highway lane, among other things.
The navigation system automatically adjusts the speed to speed limits and automatically reduces the driving speed before particularly tight bends or exits.
Steering intervention for the blind spot assistant
Other new functions include steering intervention for Blind Spot Assist, automatic braking intervention in the event of movement in front of the vehicle and sideguard protection, which warns the driver of contact with an obstacle on the sides of the vehicle.
The new lighting system with intelligent LED headlights offers greater safety when driving at night. The twelve individual LED elements can be deactivated separately in the event of oncoming traffic, providing a bright and wide field of light without dazzling oncoming traffic.
